The Brazilian mobile market grew at a faster rate than expected in Q410 and the country ended the year with 202.944mn mobile subscribers, an annual increase of 16.7%. This was an improvement on the 15.5% growth in 2009 and highlights BMI's view that, although the official penetration rate has passed 100%, the Brazilian mobile market is far from being tapped out. Using this updated data, BMI forecasts increased subscriber growth over the next five years and expect growth of 10% in 2011 and a user base of 265.2mn by 2015.
