Leading mobile operator NTT DoCoMo is to launch LTE femtocells in 2011-2012 according to the company's managing director of radio access network, Yoshiyuki Yasuda. The company already offers 3G femtocells under its FOMA brand. With the majority of its subscribers already using 3G and a high demand for data services already in the market, BMI believes that LTE femtocells should do well for the operator as it rolls out new services.
