MVNOs Offer Market Shake-Up Potential

South Korea's National Assembly has passed legislation permitting the licensing of mobile virtual network operators (MVNOs) from September 2010. Although a lot of work still needs to be done in defining the licensing process and establishing the ways in which MVNOs will work with existing operators and deliver services to customers, BMI welcomes this development as it has the potential to significantly change the competitive environment in the Korean marketplace.
