Chile's Entel PCS, together with Swedish telecoms equipment manufacturer Ericsson, has announced its intention to launch HSPA+ over its mobile network as well as begin trialling LTE. The operator, the first to launch 3G services in Latin America in December 2006, has continued to be at the forefront of mobile technologies in the region, and its decision to trial LTE comes as no surprise.
