Network congestion, and the poor service quality that often results, continues to affect Nigerian operators and their subscribers. The head of Nigeria's telecoms regulatory body, the National Communications Commission (NCC), has highlighted this issue as of particular importance during the festive season, since this is a time when customer are especially keen to contact their loved ones, potentially leading to increased congestion, which consumers find particularly dissatisfactory at this time of year.
