Orange Jordan, formerly Jordan Telecom, has launched an internet protocol television (IPTV) called 'TV from Orange'. The service offers access to international and Arabic premium TV channels, and video-on-demand facilities over an ADSL connection. The operator has said that the move will enhance Orange's position in the Jordanian market, and reflects the company's aim of keeping up to date with the international telecoms industry. This is not only the first IPTV service to be offered in the country, but also the first in the region.
