Neotel, South Africa's second largest fixed-line operator has signed deals worth a total of ZAR1.5bn (US$205.1mn) with around half of the country's leading 350 corporate customers. The operator launched its corporate services arm only last year, with retail services following in May 2008, as it sought to offset the dominance held by state-owned incumbent operator Telkom. Aside from Telkom, which offers its corporate services under the name of Telkom Internet Solutions, both operators also compete with Verizon South Africa, the corporate arm of South African mobile operator MTN.
