ZTE, the Chinese telecoms equipment manufacturer, has signed an agreement with local mobile virtual network operator (MVNO), Japan Communications for the provision of W-CDMA data cards from August this year. The strategic decision to enter the Japanese mobile market is aimed at facilitating ZTE's plans to become a leading player in the global high-end 3G industry.
