Having formed a partnership in the US to deploy its national WiMAX network, Clearwire has said that it is looking for partners in Europe in order to extend the network internationally. The operator intends to launch its WiMAX network in the US by the end of 2008 and expects to have 1.9mn subscribers by the end of the following year. The company already owns a number of WiMAX licences in European countries and would look for partners with existing infrastructure and customer bases, thereby speeding up the roll out of services.
