Wi-Tribe, the new international wireless broadband provider owned by Qatar Telecom (Qtel) and AA Turki Corporate Trading and Construction (Atco) of Saudi Arabia, has formally launched its network and services in Jordan. Services are being delivered over a mobile WiMAX-based platform sourced from Aptilo Networks and a fixed-WiMAX platform provided by Airspan Networks. Customers are being provided with a full range of voice, data and high-speed internet services.
