Hungarian incumbent telecoms operator Magyar Telekom has been granted a long-term loan worth approximately HUF50.6bn (US$315mn) from the European Investment Bank (EIB) to finance investments in mobile broadband networks and services. The loan was made to Deutsche Telekom International Finance BV and will mature in January 2015; it bears a fixed interest rate.
