Cuba and Venezuela are to install an undersea fibre-optic cable with a total capacity of 640 Gigabytes, stretching from Camuri in north Venezuela to Siboney in east Cuba. A supplier for the cable is to be selected by the end of August, with the installation completed by 2009 at the earliest.
