As part of efforts to expand into overseas markets, Taiwan's Chunghwa Telecom, is to establish a US$30mn internet data joint venture (JV) with Viettel, the Vietnamese military-led operator. Under the JV, Viettel will become the dominant partner with a 70% stake, while Chunghwa Telecom will occupy the remaining 30%.
