Equipment manufacturer Alcatel-Lucent has signed an agreement with Greek incumbent OTE to upgrade and expand its existing infrastructure. The upgrade is one of a number of OTE projects that together are worth EUR12mn, and will see a fibre optic network deployed as part of OTE's extension of its high-speed network coverage in both urban and rural areas. Alcatel will also supply network integration and support services as part of the upgrade to OTE's network.
