Lattelecom, the incumbent fixed-line operator in Latvia, has outlined its goals for 2008 and says that its priority will continue to be the development of broadband internet services. By the end of 2008, Lattelecom plans to have expanded its number of broadband customers by approximately 40%, to over 211,000. 'Increasing the number of permanent internet connections is a fundamental aspect of Lattelecom's development. It is also a platform on the basis of which we will be able to offer new services in the future - IP telephony, a wider range of TV services, and other solutions,' said Lattelecom's chairman, Gundars Strautmanis.
