Cosmote Mobile Telecommunications, the mobile telephony subsidiary of Hellenic Telecommunications Organization (OTE) of Greece, has announced its financial and operating results for the year ended December 31 2007. It recorded a strong performance in all of its markets and substantially expanded its customer base in Albania, Bulgaria, and Macedonia. Cosmote attributes this positive result to the addition and consolidation of the Germanos retail business in all five of its markets. By the end of 2007, Cosmote was serving 15.5mn customers, exceeding its goal of having 15mn customers two years ahead of schedule.
