Saudi Telecommunications Company (STC) plans to invest as much as US$15bn in buying new licences and existing operators in the Middle East, North Africa and Asia in a bid to diversify into new markets and create fresh revenue streams in much the same way that many of its smaller and nimbler peers have been doing for several years.
