India's Tata Communications (formerly known as VSNL) plans to invest up to US$2bn over the next three years ended 2011 on expanding its network. Around half of this capital expenditure will be used to fund the development and expansion of its WiMAX network. The operator provides WiMAX services in Bangalore, but aims to provide coverage to 15 cities by end of next year. The remainder will be spent on submarine cables and network enhancements.
