TeliaSonera is able to boast its "best ever" third quarter results for 2007, based largely on growth in its mobility and international operation divisions. And as far as the latter goes, the carrier's Eurasian division Fintur Holdings best highlights the company's strong sales growth and profit contributions. Net sales increased by 26.5% y-o-y to SEK2.9bn in Eurasia, boosted in particular by subscriber growth in Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan, and by the carrier's recent acquisition of US-based MCT Corporation, which has operations in Uzbekistan, Tajikistan as well as Afghanistan.
