Bahrain's Mena Telecom has unveiled plans to launch a nation-wide WiMAX network in the Kingdom by the end of 2007. The operator, a subsidiary of Kuwait Finance House, has said it is 'in the final stages of concluding negotiations' on the project, which it claims will make Bahrain the first country in the world to benefit from national WiMAX access. Mena Telecom hopes to begin offering commercial services in Q3 or Q4 of this year.
