Encouraged by the growth of its broadband and recently launched pay TV sectors, Telefónica Chile has announced that 'two of every three dollars' that it plans to invest in the country will go towards these two sectors. In the final quarter of 2006, the operator was pleased to acknowledge that its triple play strategy, supported by new sales of its DUO and TRIO products, combining basic telephony, broadband internet and digital TV had enabled its broadband sector to claim a 49% share of the Chilean broadband market, following a 63% annual rise to its ADSL subscriber base.
