MTC, the Kuwait-based mobile operating giant has reported record 2006 net profits of KWD305.3mn (US$1.051bn), up by 65% y-o-y, with revenues of KWD1.210bn (US$4.167bn), up by 109% y-o-y. Consolidated EBITDA over this period reached KWD593.96mn (US$2.045bn), up by 78% over the year, which its chairman Asaad Ahmed Al-Banwan stated "reflected vast Group operating efficiencies and synergies during this growth phase."
