Once again, Telekom Austria's financial results have confirmed the success of its Balkan expansion strategy. The Austrian group has made a concerted push into the region in recent years and now operates in Bulgaria (Mobiltel), Croatia (Vipnet) and Slovenia (Si.mobil). Results for the first nine months of the year reveal an 11.4% y-o-y increase in group revenues to EUR3.56bn, driven primarily by the integration of Mobiltel since July 2005. Indeed, mobile operations in general, and the international units in particular, were responsible for offsetting another lacklustre performance at Telekom Austria's domestic fixed-line division, which saw revenues drop by 0.4% to
