Latest projections by BMI regarding mobile growth in the Venezuelan market are expected to achieve annual growth of 30.4% in 2006, leading the year to close with just over 16mn users. A figure in line with the country's leading mobile operator Movistar's own forecast, that 'there should easily be 16 or 17 million mobile clients.' Of this user base, Movistar is expected to claim at least half, with the operator closing 2005, with 5.6mn users out of a total of 12.5mn users.
