Russia's SkyLink Takes Control Of Moscow Subsidiary

Russian CDMA operator SkyLink has increased its stake in regional mobile operator Personal Communications (PeCom) to 100%. SkyLink bought a 7.5% stake in the operator via another subsidiary, Moscow Cellular Communications (MCC). The stake was bought from Qualcomm, a US company that produces CDMA telecoms equipment. Both PeCom and MCC operate in the Moscow region, where they have a combined subscriber base of around 170,000 users.
