Spending on mobile services in Central and Eastern Europe is likely to keep on growing despite falling prices and saturated markets, according to a new industry report. A study by IDC claims that spending across 11 regional markets grew by 13.5% in 2005 to US$15.12bn. That figure is expected to rise again this year, by a slightly more modest 9.5%. The overall mobile penetration rate in Central and Eastern Europe is now estimated at 78% although this figure hides considerable variations between countries.
