In Bulgaria, penetration currently stands at around 75%, leaving room for further growth. Indeed, BMI estimates that this figure will rise steadily over the next few years, reaching around 94% by 2010. The regulator awarded 3G licences to three operators in 2005 and Mobiltel has indicated that it is planning to launch services by the end of H1 2006.
