Competition in Saudi Arabia's mobile market is set to become even more fierce, with the introduction of Mobile Number Portability (MNP) to launch on June 21 2006. This new service is the first of its kind in the Middle East and Africa region, and comes ahead of other countries such as the UAE, which is expected to introduce similar regulatory policies in H206, while South Africa is also expected to offer its MNP services in September 2006.
