Oman Telecommunications Company (Omantel) underwent a substantial restructuring in Q1 2004, when it was divided into two operating companies, Omantel (fixed-line and internet) and the Oman Telecommunications Mobile Company (OMTC), and a holding company, Oman Telecommunications Company.
