Kuwait's mobile market, dominated by two mobile operators, MTC-Vodafone and Wataniya, could potentially see a third operator enter their midst, in what is a highly competitive market. Indeed, during Q305, the mobile market saw just 35,000 net additions over the quarter, representing q-o-q growth of 1.5%. This has led BMI to envisage that growth during 2006 will be around 4%, given that this year will see the country break through the 100% penetration rate barrier.
