Sky Mexico To Launch Broadband Service

Televisa, Mexico's largest broadcaster, is preparing to launch a broadband service through its Sky unit. The service will initially be available in certain areas of Mexico City, although the company has ambitions to expand the service in Mexico in future. It is also limited to buyers of direct-to-home satellite services. Despite these initial limitations, BMI welcomes the move. We also see potential for growth in the company which will provide a challenger to Telmex.
