Saudi Arabia's second-ranked mobile operator Mobily will launch LTE in Q311. The operator, 35% owned by the UAE's Etisalat, seems set to be the second operator in the Middle East to launch services and the first in Saudi Arabia. The early launch of LTE in Saudi Arabia supports BMI's long held view that the market would be among the first in the region to offer the service. Already strong growth of 3G services suggests the market is ready for the next-generation technology.
