SIM Registration Does Not Alter BMI View

SIM registration was finalised in Peru at the end of February. There were 911,286 unregistered SIMs following subscriber registration, all of which are set to be disconnected. The campaign to disconnect inactive subscriptions appears to have been largely successful, with operators set to lose less than 1mn lines. While this does not alter BMI's forecasts significantly, we believe the latest figures will give a greater understanding of subscriber growth in the market.
