Convergence Is Key, Newly Merged KT To Start Services

After 13 years, Korea Telecom Freetel (KTF), South Korea's second largest mobile service provider by subscriber figures, has ended offering services under its brand name. Following the completion of its merger on June 1 2009, with incumbent operator Korea Telecom (KT), the newly formed company will focus on bundling mobile, internet TV, broadband and fixed-line services, as well as introducing new services combining telecommunications with other infrastructure.
