CSL Completes On HSPA+ Network

Hong Kong mobile market leader CSL has completed the launch of the world's first software defined radio (SDR)-based HSPA+ all IP network. Jointly developed together with Chinese telecoms equipment vendor ZTE, the upgraded network will allow CSL to provide its customers with high-speed wireless download speeds of up to 21Mbps. Work on the operator's network commenced in March 2008 and was developed in stages.
