KaR-Tel To Launch LTE Trial

Kazakhstan's second largest mobile operator KaR-Tel has received permission from the country's telecoms regulator, the Agency On Informatisation and Communication (AIC), to deploy an indoor test network for Long-Term Evolution (LTE) technology, Telecompaper reports. KaR-Tel's majority owner, VimpelCom, will use the tests to prepare for deployment of LTE across its operations in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
