Kazakhstan Tightening Internet Controls

According to a number of media reports, Kazakhstan's parliament has begun steps towards tightening state restrictions on internet and media in the country. On April 29 2009, the lower house of the parliament approved the first reading of a draft law on internet regulation. According to the reports, the law will cover all websites with mass media including blogs, social networks and forums.
