ZTE Bags Telenor Hungary LTE Contract

Telenor, the second largest mobile network operator in Hungary, has awarded a contract to ZTE Corporation of China covering the supply and installation of a next-generation network based on 4G LTE technology. The deal, reportedly valued at EUR200mn, gives ZTE a good foothold in the European LTE space and positions Telenor as the first Hungarian operator to deploy LTE. It is also an encouraging sign that operators are willing to invest in LTE at such an early stage.
