Intel Imagines WiMAX For All

TeleGeography is reporting that chipmaker Intel is partnering with Irish Broadband (Imagine Group) in a EUR100mn (US$139mn) investment to deploy WiMAX in Ireland. The new network is supported by five Irish companies and multinational corporations, and commercial launch is anticipated 'in the coming months'. The investment is part of a wider financing plan for a national network.
