Results From Future Merged Entities Bodes Well For Future Growth

Telmex Internacional (Telint) released its Q110 results, showing revenue growth of 18.4% year-on-year while net profit rose by a 17.9% margin. As the operator is set to be absorbed into sister company América Móvil, the strong results bode well for the decision to merge the operations. With telecoms markets increasingly focused on mobile services, Telint's operations in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru should benefit from América Móvil's presence there.
