LG Telecom Finally Announces Merger Plans For 2010

LG Telecom, South Korea's smallest mobile operator, will merge with its two fixed-line assets, LG Dacom and LG Powercom, in early 2010. The three companies are to apply for approval from the regulatory body, the Korea Communications Commission (KCC), in late October 2009, and plan to complete the merger ahead of a stockholders' meeting in March 2010.
