Entangled In Red Tape, DTAC Manages Non-Commercial 3G Trial

DTAC, Thailand's second largest mobile operator, is to follow in the footsteps of its competitors by launching a trial of its 3G service in the capital, Bangkok. Unlike mobile market leader AIS, which launched a 3G trial in 2008, DTAC's trial is non-commercial and will be used to study the usage patterns and expectations of the 2,000 volunteers selected to use the service for free.
