Smile Buying A Stake In Bezeq

012 Smile Communications is to buy a 30.6% stake in Israeli incumbent operator Bezeq, reports Reuters. The Apax-Saban-Arkin group has apparently agreed to sell this stake to Smile, which in turn is controlled by Eurocom. This sale is particularly interesting as it represents, to some extent, consolidation in the market, as Smile is a competitor to Bezeq in the fixed-line and broadband sectors in Israel.
