State And Operators Agree Social Mobile Tariffs

The French government has agreed with operators that they will introduce a new social mobile tariff. The tariff will cost EUR10 a month and target the 1.2mn homes on basic state benefits. BMI welcomes the agreement to expand access to mobile phone services. However, we do not consider such an agreement a substitute for the price competition the French market lacks.
