Free Mobile owned by Iliad, successfully completed negotiations for a national roaming agreement with Orange that covers their 2G and 3G networks in France. BMI welcomes the announcement as it removes a major hurdle to the successful launch of Free. It is therefore beneficial for the French mobile market as a lack of competition maintained high ARPUs for operators relative to comparable European markets.
