MobilKom-Dial Telecom Merger To Shake Up Market

MobilKom, the Czech Republic's smallest mobile network operator, is to be acquired by Divenno Holdings Ltd and merged with Divenno's existing fixed-line, data services and broadband services businesses. BMI believes the move will be a good one for MobilKom, which has struggled to make an impact with its technically limited CDMA wireless network, while Divenno's telecoms operations will be greatly enhanced by the ability to offer enterprise-based wireless broadband services through the MobilKom network.
