2010 saw the first moves towards convergence in the Latin American telecoms market, as well as several countries implementing mobile number portability (MNP). Looking forward, BMI expects 2011 to bring two main trends - increasing competition through mobile virtual network operators (MVNOs) and a growing focus on driving revenues through data expansion.
