Anatel Approves December Bidding For 3G H-Band Spectrum

September 2010 | Daily Alert

Anatel plans to give preference to newly entering operators, in an effort to increase competition in the mobile market, and the agreement will also include obligations to increase coverage. BMI believes this should improve mobile services in Brazil, and possibly induce operators such as Nextel (NII Holdings) and GVT (Vivendi) to enter the 3G fray.
