Jazztel Performs Well Despite Difficulties

Spain's Jazztel has reported a particularly strong quarter of subscriber growth in Q110, seeing it acquire almost as many subscribers as the market leader, incumbent Telefónica. The operator grew 17% quarter-on-quarter, to reach 681,000 subscribers. While this is still far behind Telefónica's 5.6mn connections, the operator has performed very well in the Spanish broadband market despite subscriber losses reported by other operators and an overall slower growth rate.
