M-Tel Gives Up On WiMax

Bulgaria's largest mobile operator Mobiltel (M-Tel) has decided to give up developing its WiMAX network, and to transfer its permit for the use of a radio frequency for WiMAX services to another WiMAX operator, Max Telecom, reports Sofia News Agency. The deal, which is subject to approval by the Bulgarian Communications Regulation Commission (CRC), could see M-Tel focus on the expansion of its 3G services.
